For several years, now, we’ve teamed up with Omaha’s chapter of the Lion’s Club to sell freshly picked peaches to the community to raise money for the Lion’s Club who uses that money on other service projects to benefit their community. We’ve supplied the organization with a trailer, equipment and a drop-off location for their peach fundraiser to ensure the peaches arrive and are ready to go.

LCI_emblem_2color.pngLions International is a non-profit service organization first started in 1917 by Melvin Jones, a Chicago businessman who wanted to encourage businesses to offer support after the devastation of World War I. There are 47,000 Lions clubs across the world, each with their own focus and service activities that they strive to offer to their communities. The club services over 200 countries with their 1.4 million members worldwide.

The Omaha chapter, of the Lions Club, is always looking for service-minded individuals who want to give back to their community. If you want to become a member of the Lions Club, check out their website and find a chapter near you.
