Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales, Inc., one of the largest semi-trailer dealers in the U.S. today, is now hiring Trailer Mechanics at our Sioux City, IA location. Our modern Sioux City dealership, constructed in 2018, has state-of-the-art equipment with oversized work bays which promote safety and efficiency.

Job Duties:

Perform diagnostics, repairs and modifications of the following:

• ABS brake systems
• Drum & disc brake systems
• Wheel ends
• Body work (side panel, roof, rail & X-bars)
• Air & Electrical systems
• Welding
• DOT Inspections
• Ability to be on call rotation after training
• Diagnose & provide recommendations on repairs
• Accurately record description & hours of all work performed on RO’s
• Learn and follow Mid-States Utility’s best practices for correct & efficient repairs
• Operate shop equipment
• Maintain a clean & safe working environment
• Perform additional duties as needed

Requirements:

• Mechanical background in heavy duty trucking industry or similar field
• Positive attitude and team player
• Customer Service driven
• Ready to work at start of shift
• Able to move trailers in & out of the shop with yard truck
• Attend company paid vendor training seminars as requested
• Able to follow work instructions & direction from supervisor
• Valid Driver’s License & a satisfactory MVR
• Ability to pass post-offer physical & drug screen
