Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales, Inc., one of the largest semi-trailer dealers in the U.S. today, is now hiring a Shop Foreman at our Sioux City, IA location. Our modern Sioux City dealership, constructed in 2018, has state of the art equipment with oversized work bays which promotes safety and efficiency.

The Shop Foreman is responsible for managing a team of trailer mechanics as well as the service and repair of trailers.

Job Duties:

• Prioritize and assign work to meet customers’ needs
• Coach and mentor our team of trailer mechanics
• Ensure quality, compliance, and safety standards
• Processes final paperwork such as PM sheet, annual inspection sheet, PD sheet, and end of job report
• Assists in servicing and repairing different areas of a trailer including the brakes, lights, seals, and other general maintenance items as work order indicates.
• Possess ability to read and understand instructions and prepare written reports.
• Meet and exceed customer satisfaction
• May be required to be on-call as necessary.
• Other duties and tasks as required by supervisor

Requirements:

• 2 years experience Shop Foreman experience preferred
• Mechanical background in heavy duty trucking industry or similar field
• Ability to work in a positive, fast paced environment
• Positive attitude and team player
• Customer Service driven
• Ability to maintain strong organizational skills
• Proficient with computers including Excel, Office and truck management software
• Regular attendance & ability to be ready at the start of shift necessary
• Valid Driver’s License & a satisfactory MVR
• Ability to pass post-offer physical & drug screen
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
