Oct. 29 2018 News By Mid-States Utility

Bobby Nieto, our Refrigeration Tech in Sioux City is a Scoutmaster for Troop 204 Boy Scouts in Sioux City and been involved in Boy Scouts for 12 years. Bobby and his colleague Justin Kaiser have been teaching the Boy Scouts how to solder in order to help them obtain their Plumbing/Refrigeration merit badge. The Boy Scouts learned some very valuable practical skills and had a lot of fun doing it! Visit “BSA Pack & Troop 204” on facebook for full details of their activities. Did you know that the Plumbing Merit Badge was one of the original 57 merit badges issued by the Boy Scouts of America in 1911?

Bobby is also the leader of War Eagle District Honor Guard Troop. His district was visited earlier this year by the Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds! When the Sioux City was designated as a home base Community for the military Governor Reynolds spoke at the City Hall and the War Eagle District Honor Guard Troop were invited to perform the flag ceremony at the beginning of the service.

We want to thank Bobby and Justin for their incredibly dedicated work with the young generation, and for representing our company with so much pride and passion outside of work!
