Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales are all about our people. We encourage our employees to learn and develop their skills. Last week another three of our employees graduated out of the “Skills For Success” Dale Carnegie Training Course! Our Parts Associate Ariel Drasney, our Service Writer / Warranty Coordinator Adrian Westcott and our Trailer Sales representative Jake Riesberg all completed the eight-week long course and received much praise from the course tutor as well as our Operations Director.

Steve Bergeron, Skills For Success course tutor, congratulated all graduates and shared with us:

20181030_205433_resizedAriel has a knack for seeing what’s beyond the surface of situations and people. As a result, she is an excellent problem solver and has an instinct when it comes to understanding other people. She sees in others the strengths they may not see in themselves. Throughout the program, Ariel successfully focused on utilizing the stress principles while building her confidence to engage others in a powerful way.

Adrian is calm under pressure, observant and insightful. She takes everything in like a sponge. Adrian worked each week on building her confidence to use her knowledge and insight and verbalize it to others in a meaningful way.  What I most admire about Adrian is that throughout the program, she when out of her way to prepare, participate, and let her guard down. These are the three ingredients to seizing the moment for growth opportunities.

20181030_205200_resizedJake demonstrated amazing mental flexibility each week. For me, what is most compelling about Jake, is that he was often quiet during the program and when it was his time to shine, he never shied away. Simply put, when in the spotlight,  Jake has an uncanny ability to stand and deliver. Jake puts pressure on himself to be a perfectionist and strives to do things right the first time. By working on managing stress, Jake allows himself the chance to look at the positive side of mistakes that strengthen his abilities and knowledge even more.

Our Omaha branch Mid-States Utility Operational Director Mark Golden said: “Our employees’ personal development is really important to us. Skills For Success has helped us again and again to transform our staff into better communicators with positive attitude who motivate everyone around them. I could not be more proud of Ariel, Adrian and Jake for stepping outside their comfort zone and completing the course!”
